Pictures are of Peoples Gardens; the Hollow and Bandstand and monument to the patriot Sean Heuston of which nearby railway station is named after. I hear tourist sightseeing buses are now going to venture further into the Northside; possibly as far as the Casino in Marino. Good. It follows that our politicians will clean up the floatsam ie junkies, h0wyas,wasters, beggars etc which seem to have been allowed proliferate on the Northside. The Grangegorman Campus is going to bring new life into this area and beyond. With it, will come long overdue business into this historic but neglected area of Dublin. Oportunities will be immense.
Add to this the huge Revolutionary history of the area as a tourism market especially with the centenary of the 1916 rising soon ,and this area of Dublin has a new and prosperous dawn. This of course is to be welcomed. It will have to be controlled and nurtured. The local people and heritage, indeed culture must be foremost. Policing of our area must be robust and indeed seen to be so. No anti social behaviour is to be tolerated. This includes drinking on the streets and manners to be put on the blowin gurriers. This off course will not suit our local pinko politicians and their lacks who buy votes for housing, welfare,medical cards etc. This is an opportunity which must be grasped and understood. We are on the threshold. Do,nt blow it. Think of the future generations. THINK.
