Unpublished letter in response to Alan Shatter’s letter, ‘Ireland and Its Immigrants’, published October 22, 2013
Dear Sir,
As an Irishman brought up with a completely different ethos to our minister for (in)justice Mr. Shatter, I would take issue with his comments of the 23/10/13. As a believer in democracy I have run in three elections, both local and national, in our Capital Dublin to highlight the issue of mass immigration to Ireland. I highlighted the huge problems mass immigration would bring to my wee country. Mr. Shatter and his party Fine Gael will not debate the effect of this issue in public or parliament. Our media is almost completely PC while fifty thousand and more of our well educated people emigrate from Ireland each year bringing with them the the ethos and skills of a western civilised country. Mr. Shatter as minister for justice and his government allows almost unrestricted access to Ireland to every country in the world. Our health, education, social welfare, housing, criminal systems etc. are near collapse. Mr. Shatter is indeed also minister for defence. Yet he has stridently cut back on our army and police. As such Ireland is a hiding place now for Middle Eastern terrorists. Ireland of the welcomes is being overwhelmed by unvouched for immigrants. america and the world beware.
